Postnatal Exercise Classes

Congratulations! After nine long months of pregnancy and the trials of labour and birth, you finally have your own little baby to stare adoringly at for as long as you like. Whilst this is a joyful and time-consuming activity, admit it, what you really want to know is when am I going to get a decent night's sleep, and why does my body still not look quite like me? Though the first one is up to you and your tot, tackle the second head on with our postnatal exercise classes!

Whatever your pre-pregnancy shape or fitness, Expecting Results will help you deal with the demand of mummy-hood and edge closer to your pre-baby shape. Each postnatal exercise class is designed to offer easy, guilt free exercise, as baby comes too!

The class will include exercises that increase fitness and strength, as well as enhancing weight loss

When Can I start postnatal exercise?

As with all Expecting Results classes, you will be required to complete a full health-screening questionnaire to assess your suitability for the class. It is recommended that women do not return to exercise before their 6-week postnatal check. Mothers who have given birth by caesarean should delay this to approximately 8-12 weeks.

Class details

Friendly, fun and effective classes to help you get back in shape and meet other mums. And best of all...baby comes too!

The class will include exercises that increase fitness and strength, as well as enhancing weight loss. Please bring a bottle of water and a mat if you have one. Stay afterwards for complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits, and meet other mums in the same position. The babies are not 'used' during the exercise class, though you are of course free to feed, change or attend to your baby at any time. It would therefore be best to bring your baby in a pram or car seat.
